Today’s Cryptogram

M DSU’W WTMUP LQ SUC ZJWWJF

FJVFJGJUWSWMLU LQ ZJSXWC WTSU

GLHJLUJ ITL MG XUSQFSME WL ZJ TJFGJYQ. –JHHS GWLUJ

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"

Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence or even one word at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

You should be able to solve that first line, without even using a pencil and paper...

Very quick solving cryptogram from the single letter to the contraction to placing the e & filling in 1 1/2 minutes.
Definitely a shot in the arm.

Unbelievable..

For the 2nd day in a row, they went down like cheap suits - by the time I got to the biggie I was wondering why my fingers didn’t go faster and was looking for the ‘microphone’ so I could speak to Hal, not pound on ‘him’.....<: <: <:

We need to have an open listing of what it’s like once you’ve cracked the quote, and you’re writing like “H*ll” to get it done.

Here are some about those moments when you’ve solved the puzzle I’ve rec’d.

....At that point it was like...

—picking ripe fruit.
—ramming speed.
—coming around the final turn of the Kentucky Derby.
—the last lap of the Daytona 500.
—whipping Ole’ Dobbin to the finish line.
—all down hill from then on.
—dominoes falling.
—my fingers couldn’t write fast enough.
—rolling down a hill.

et al...

GIVE US YOURS...

Three minutes. Get the first two words and the "e", and the rest flows from there.
