Having, for all practical purposes, ridded the so-called "public square" of the fountainhead of references to the Founders' acknowledgement of the Source of all human knowledge, wisdom and understanding--a "Supreme Being"--the "Progressive Church's people" are left with vacuous references to "our values" as a reference point.

Thus, there is no source book, no "copy book headings" to go by, no real foundation or solid footing on which to base ideas of liberty, of freedom, or of a lawbook from which one might base his/her understanding of the oft-referenced "rule of law."

As with a classroom of school children confronting a teacher's instructions, "because I told you so" is not enough. A nation of freedom-loving people need to have a source book and a Source for asserting their rights and liberties, as well as the laws which they claim can protect those rights and liberties.

Progressivism is, like one of its most recent "star" leaders, an "empty suit" full of empty claims to rights and liberties.
