I still haven’t watched a single episode.
1 Billion global viewers.
800 Million of which are pirating the HBO.
Great. But I will wait until it’s finished its HBO run and buy the whole season at once and power watch the whole season. Just like I did with all the other seasons. And I’ll avoid any internet article with the words “game” and “thrones” in the title to prevent spoilers. I think the show has been an epic landmark in video storytelling. It’s essentially a 90 hour movie cut into 1 hour segments.
Im using the dvr for that, filtering all the ads.
The show has been going downhill for at least two seasons. Its last season is going to be an exercise in hysterical media hype.
I never got into it. I watched 7 episodes of season 1 and never went back.
Was not initially into Game of Thrones (no HBO) but had the opportunity to see an episode a few seasons back and borrowed my son’s HBO passcode on Direct TV and went back to the beginning and watched a couple of episodes, 3 or 4 nights each week until I got caught up in time for the start of Season 7. Good stuff. Looking forward to the final season.
I was into Vikings but it diminished in my eyes after Ragnar departed and now with the whole split seasons schedule, I lost interest pretty quick and not sure when they’ll be on again.
Hmmm..I’ve always thought GOT is an incredibly well done show in terms of story line, writing, acting and directing..maybe one of the best TV series in the history of TV, IMHO. Absolutely top quality and many of the episodes are on par with a major motion picture.
The story line has also pretty closely followed the books (most of which I’ve read, until the most recent). So kudos to the writers and producers for that also.
To me, it’s been ‘not miss TV’ for 7 seasons now and DW and I are sad to see it ending this year..
I watched maybe the first season then I gave up on it. It was interesting but I ended up getting bored with it.
Minus 1.
should I start watching now, or see the good stuff online?
Except those with Dish Network. They have removed HBO over money.
Some people have a very low standard of what counts for entertainment.
