It takes a lot of personal and political courage for a black person to stand up against any issue the far Left Democratic Party supports when it comes to its practice of identity politics, but one former ACLU leader has done just that.
During an interview on Fox News Friday, former ACLU national board member Michael Meyers called 2020 Democrats push for reparations for blacks a total scam that itself is built on racism.
Its more of that blame whitey movement mania, madness. And its sheer racial rhetoric, and thats what you get at the Al Sharpton so-called house of justice. You have buffoonery, and you have diversion, you have distraction. You have this notion of farce, Meyers said.

I didn’t lose anything due to the loss of property in 1865, but our family DID lose a lot of property to the Soviets in 1945. They confiscated my ancestor’s factories in Danzig, Germany when they marched in.
Because the Democrats have gone full communist today and are blood brothers with the Soviets, I figure they owe me $5 million of reparations. Sure, I wasn’t alive in 1945 and didn’t suffer personal loss, but none of the blacks demanding reparations today were alive in 1865 either and didn’t suffer any personal loss either.
So I consider my claim as valid as theirs. And I withhold the “/sarc” tag.
I absolutely agree. The sad part of all this is that as a nation we were making tremendous strides getting past race as an issue and realizing MLK's 'dream' of making the color of ones skin irrelevant to the content of their character. That's where we need to be, but now, in large measure because of self-promoting irresponsible people fanning the flames of racial and class divisions in order to 'divide and conquer', we're going backwards at a very disturbing pace.
Public School bond Reparations, now!
He exhibited his sanity and good sense early. Back in those days (late 60's) the black Antiochians, most of them, were campaigning for an Afro-American Studies Institute which was basically a special little undergraduate ghetto for the melanin-enriched only. Meyers (if this is the same guy) stood up to them, sued them I think, and said it was just segregation and he wanted no part of it.
Don't remember if he won or lost.
Some guys have brains. Some guys have guts. He had both.
Anyway he was an equal-opportunity-not-equal-results kind of a guy. I never met him but I admired him even then.
Reparations are just a way to try to keep blacks on the plantation (after bending over for illegals these past years).
” It has been a joke ever since”
It may be a joke but it’s quite real.
Still a meat grinder chewing up the futures of 10th generation Americans in favor of some guy who tripped over the fence yesterday or got off a jet in San Francisco last month, fresh in from Mumbai.
All of those people have more rights then white people at this point in history, and they use it with glee to steamroll whitey in his own country...or used to be.
When did we vote for that?
We know we didn’t. It was imposed by the Robed Tyrants.
My little equation:
Immigration + Affirmative Action = Annihilation
My little equation:
Immigration + Affirmative Action = Annihilation
We have the perfect storm of several things coming together at the same time to cause a perfect storm.
There is no magic bullet that fixes things nor is there one thing the cause of every problem.
So having said that what do we do? The battle is fought on many fronts. Get involved in some way and encourage others in what they are doing...
It might be such a small thing as wearing a MAGA hat might encourage a young person.
Exactly, no futher description needed.
Everyone has seen it wasted and squandered and how it's destroyed the Black family.
“It might be such a small thing as wearing a MAGA hat might encourage a young person”
Hah, how innocent. Must be nice to live in Iowa where it’s still 1978.
If I wore a MAGA hat in say, downtown Anaheim, just a few blocks from Disneyland, know what would happen?
The Mexican employees who are the overwhelming majority there would stream out of the gas stations, quikmarts, supermarkets and construction sites to beat the crap out of me.
So until my kid is out of the house and safely ensconced in some sort of job - whatever we can get, considering he’s a blue-eyed white kid - I ain’t doin’ nothin’ here to provoke anyone. All I can do is send more $$$ to Big Don. And even he doesn’t seem to be able to shut down the Leftist terrorists who are everywhere here.
It’s really that bad. My personal opinion is that Trump is the last finger in the dike before it breaks...and then the long predicted CWII really will happen. We’ve already been in a low grade version of it now for 2 years with the Mueller Coup.
All I can do is send more $$$ to Big Don. And even he doesnt seem to be able to shut down the Leftist terrorists who are everywhere here.
I live in a liberal college town. I am surprised and how often a young person says, I like your hat.
Spitting on an AOC poster would count.
Don’t think they will not push for Reparations! They will. The left has already condemned Blacks to a life of poverty by giving them permission to blame their failures on Whitey. Reparations will confirm that, and destroy the country for good.
The last thing the left wants is for Blacks to have jobs and to be prosperous.
We’re the party that set them free.
You’re welcome.
Slavery is morally reprehensible but it was legal in the U.S of A. and elsewhere for a long time.
And Lincoln didn’t free the slaves in the Union states.
Nor would he have any authority to do so in another nation , which is precisely what the CSA had declared itself. The founders had stated the people had the right to change the government to pne that suited them better.
Lincoln and the Northern politicians were like the husband who wasnt about to let his wife leave and go her own way.
I truly wish the leaders of both North and South had found a peaceful resolution to end slavery in the U.S.
Never defend Democrat history. Let the Democrats defend their history. Its mostly indefensible.

So, not the first time he has spoken out.
This response wins! lmao
