Charlize Theron says she’s ‘shockingly’ single: ‘Somebody just needs to grow a pair and step up’

Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron said she’s “shockingly available” and would like somebody to “step up” and date her.

Theron, 43, opened up about her dating life to “Entertainment Tonight” while promoting her latest film “Long Shot” with co-star Seth Rogen.

"I've been single for 10 years, it's not a long shot,” Theron said of “someone courting her.” “Somebody just needs to grow a pair and step up. I'm shockingly available."

Rogen added, “She’s out there!”

“I’ve made it very clear,” Theron replied.

I was single for 10 years before I remarried. We’ve been happily married for 29 years. What being single means is that you don’t jump into a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship. No relationship is infinitely better than a bad one. Comically, my coworkers suggested I go to a bar “to meet someone.” Oh, sure, go get involved with some drunkard. What are people thinking?

I was 45 when I remarried. When I met my husband-to-be, I wore no makeup and wore a baggy, unrevealing set of workout clothes. I was also drenched in perspiration. He asked if I needed help (haha--I was a progressive resistance lifter), began a conversation, and totally cracked me up. He was funny, smart, and turned out to be a really good person. I wasn't after a "relationship"; however, who doesn't like making friends with nice people?

I had a wonderful friend who married a divine man; they had two beautiful children. The husband died of a brain tumor. Should she have been consigned to some sort of trash heap because, for whatever reason, she was in her 30's and lost her precious mate?

Go to a hot club in LA where the young A listers go like Hyde Sunset .....might be another joint now thats hot

Anyhow yep these ultra rich can arrange to sleep or vacation with fairly well known actresses for whatever price is demanded

It ain’t cheap but these are guys that will drop 100,000 or more just to party with stars

Especially Orientals....they love it

That’s what my friend did before producing films....he was partner in hot clubs

It’s a weird world

His association with big actresses made him a target for the paparazzi one in particular when he was the other man allegedly

I mean crazy crap....you come out of a restaurant and they chase you down the block

Or stalk your car in the parking lot

Or grocery store

He doesn’t like LA women much....he has a Friend with benefits and she’s a mid 40s ex actress who runs clubs....very pretty and much more grounded

I love to visit but it would not have been for me

When he comes to middle TN he’s like wow to be around so many people who think like we all do and he adores southern women

You have to be quiet out there

He had a major beef with Scientology ....that was painful...they are vicious

Some nights

Man I work all the time every day forever seems like

I’ll have date night with my rib

Dinner no kids

Watch some goofy reality she likes on Bravo where I dissect the vapidness and she tells me to quit talking (Vanderpump last nite)

Where she’ll admonish me “don’t tell me you’ve been to Sur again”....I was there last June with our oldest boy doing Kali

She’s asleep and I’m relaxed in bed with just iPad light and maybe one of the Rotts by the bed

It’s as good as it gets for me

And on weekend other posters are up from LA to Miami

She snores

I freep knowing I can sleep till 11 then back to do my rounds

Sometimes I’ll nod off and she’ll wake me an tell me I’m snoring and to put my cpap on

And I’ll go get a diet Dr Pepper and go back to freezing

All with my headset on listening to some playlist on Napster or itunes

It’s a cheap indulgence but it doesn’t lend itself to always accurate posting..lol...and sometime I’ll wake up and look at my posts and go damn did I really write that

Her problem is that nobody with the kind of money and status she demands, has any interest in dating her 43 year old, used up self. There may be “common” men who would date her, but that’s not good enough.
