Lewis looking into cars and opening the door of a silver vehicle, according to the affidavit. The report says Lewis entered the vehicle from the drivers side and sat in the car for about two and a half minutes. He then exited the vehicle and walked around the length of the lot, checking vehicles along the way by either looking into the windows or lifting door handles to see whether they were unsecured, the affidavit said.
While Lewis was in the parking lot, he was approached by an officer. He told the officer he was waiting for his girlfriend, according to the affidavit.
The arresting officer said in the affidavit that when Lewis was approached, questioned and finally arrested he gave the officer a brown paper bag with items from a vehicle. The items included an iPhone 7, four packs of cigarettes, a lighter, one Visa bank debit card, a Florida drivers license and $547 in cash.

Florida man strikes again
Hey go with what you know!
There really is a phenomenon that was discussed on one of those National Geographic Channel "Life in the Lockup" shows where prisoners don't want to leave prison when their sentence ends. It usually occurs with older prisoners who have served long sentences. They have made friends, become accustomed to the prison environment, have no desire to leave, and are terrified of the outside world. So much so that many of them with perfect disciplinary records will commit crimes in jail as their sentences are about to expire just to get them extended
Guy didn’t want to get out of prison in the first place.
When I worked in the prison, we had a number of guys who loved being there. No responsibilities, 3 hots and a cot, that kind of thing.
Then you got the ones who are just to dumb to stay out.
Only in Florida...I guess he likes 3 squares and a cot, better than freedom...
Hes too stupid to live. Just cap his ass and be done with it.

Apparently I’m much more mature than you are and if you don’t like my standards; ignore them.
Yes; I do put liars, thieves, and child molesters at the same level of nasty. I want nothing to do with any of them.
you’re the kind of person that ends up in hell because God HATES pride :)
And honest, idiocy :)
So stealing’s no big deal when you’re the perp and not the victim?
Got your number, bud.
if any of your kids or wife or friends (can’t imagine you have any) lie, they are equal to child molesters.
What do you do then or does no one you know lie?
you’re the UgLY face of the right :)
liars, thieves, and child molesters at the same level of nasty
“Lewis didn’t let any moss grow under his feet.’’ LOL! Ain’t flies on this guy!
Sure there is: A step up.
The items included an iPhone 7, four packs of cigarettes, a lighter, one Visa bank debit card, a Florida drivers license and $547 in cash.
Well GEEEEZ, no wonder he does it! Lookit the scratch he scored from cars in a few minutes! !!
Okay, I get it, you’ve spent the better part of your life in prison and now feel a need to justify it.
You could have chosen a different path and been an honest person but you chose to be a criminal.
Don’t take your failings out on the rest of us. Have you been drinking tonight?
Parole Board chairman : They've got a name for people like you H.I. That name is called "recidivism."
Parole Board member : Repeat offender!
Parole Board chairman : Not a pretty name, is it H.I.?
H.I. : No, sir. That's one bonehead name, but that ain't me any more.
Parole Board chairman : You're not just telling us what we want to hear?
H.I. : No, sir, no way.
Parole Board member : 'Cause we just want to hear the truth.
H.I. : Well, then I guess I am telling you what you want to hear.
Parole Board chairman : Boy, didn't we just tell you not to do that?
H.I. : Yes, sir.
Parole Board chairman : Okay, then.
He had Bonded out of Jail; not the brightest bulb in the room.
When I worked with locked-up delinquents I saw this many times. Right before release that they’d start a fight or open steal something. Fact was, for many of the lads, the “youth center” was the nicest place they’d been in their lives. Food was good and plentiful, the “cottages” were well-supervised and pretty much safe, warm in the winter, a nurse was on duty to tend illness and injuries, and trades training and GED classes were there to improve those who wanted to improve.
Liars and child molesters? Are you SERIOUS!!? WOW. Judge not lest ye be judged, fella. Bet dollars to donuts you told more than one little fib in your day.
