I read the transcript, he actually said,”I didn't say that”, when they asked him if he was now not going out to close the border. Satanic press misreported again. He left himself wiggle room.

He says Mexico got in motion the past 4 days.

If true, you don’t want to punish their effort.

But at the end of the day, Trump is the only POTUS who cares.

I’d wager he has his reasons - would rather damage Mexico w/o doing same to American businesses if he can....I’d also wager that some instances of border closings are strategically planned if he doesn’t get what he wants from Mexico.
