N.J. boy wants to play softball with his sisters, but the league won’t let him
Star Ledger ^ | 04.03.19 | Allison Pries

see, when the shoe is on the other foot, it's a problem.

It's all about the war against males...The socialists want women to infiltrate all male teams, clubs, etc..

Boy, I remember the days when “problems” like this were settled on the playground, NOT the National News.

The days when liberals didn’t feel like they had to FIX every little “social injustice” from cradle to grave.

We had the “greatest generation”, now they are functionally generationless.

I don’t see how the government can pretend that there is no difference between a boy and a girl AND have girl-only sports.

The competitiveness of Softball (& baseball for that matter) partially rely on the balance between set distances between objectives & potential physical speed. The perfection in the balance is what makes for sooooo many close calls at first base, etc. If a superior physical being outside of the norm is permitted to compete, then there is no balance & maybe no real reason to compete in light of the advantages. ...

Hey, grown men are competing in women’s sports these days by claiming they are trannies.

All this kid has to do is claim he’s a transgender girl, and voila!!!! he’s in.

The league took the boy’s $65, his father had coached the team, and he had practiced with the team.

When my kids were this age, they didn’t separate the boys from the girls until they were 11 and 12. My husband coached their little league team for 4 or 5 years, it was always co-ed.

I think the little lads and lassies can do team sports together until puberty, say through age 11 -— when the estrogen/testosterone levels start making a real developmental and performance difference -— but what do I know?

All he has to do is say he identifies as a girl.

It’s not rocket science.

It’s also all fun and games until he smacks one right back at the pitcher.

Does this boy have a father? What is wrong with people?

“It’s easier to hit and easier to catch.”

And that, son, is the point. Hardball is for men. Buck-up and get with the program.

My hometown had kid co-ed softball leagues - slow-pitch.

They had a fast-pitch girls' league.

They had a baseball league. I was in baseball until 17. I played with a gal 2nd "basewoman" until age 12. She didn't make the cut for Jr. Babe Ruth teams, then became a kick ass softball player (FP), and eventually got a full ride to college.

I didn't get a full ride to college.
