I read a review the other day telling us this is a mediocre film.
Probably is. I’ll probably watch it anyway,
It is a good movie. I am not going to say that every last detail was accurate. But from what I have read the details are far more accurate than most movies on these kinds of subjects.
Actually, it’s pretty damn good. I watched it 4 times....lol
I really enjoyed it. Decide for yourself. Acting was really good! Very well done flick in my opinion. Now I want to read more about this. I remember the film with Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty which was so good. This is the other side, the Texas rangers who took them down. Interesting film I really liked!
It is not a mediocre film. It is beautifully written, produced and directed, and features outstanding performances by Costner and Harrelson.
We saw it at a friend and thought it was good. I recommend it.
I thought it was a good movie. It focused on the efforts to kill them.
I don't know, if the reviews say it's really good I pretty much know it's full of queers, abortionists, and socialists.
Not bad, just watch the last 1/2 hr. The BAR’s rip the $hit out of the Ford.
I watched it a couple nights ago and enjoyed it immensely. I wouldn’t rank it as a “mediocre” film.
Really liked watching the two retired Texas Rangers coming out of retirement to find the killers. They must have been in their heyday in the late 1880s and into the 1890s when law enforcement was very different and freewheeling than in the 1930s. Near the end of the film, Hamer tells a young cop what it was like to “apprehend” Mexican lawbreakers in south Texas.
6.5
I saw it
Watching it right now but on pause while I eat supper........
It’s actually good.
I streamed it over the weekend. It’s worth seeing.
Saw it over the weekend. I’d rate it a couple of notches above mediocre, but not great. Woody H. ruins just about any movie for me because of what a liberal greaseball he is.
But I’d watch it again. I did think the machinegunning of B&C at the end was waaay overdone, meant to cast the police in a bad light, typical of today’s directors. I mean, c’mon, in the movie, they must’ve poured a thousand rounds into that car! Don’t really know how that squares with reality. Maybe it does. Just seemed a bit much to me.
Definitely peaked my interest in the Texas Ranger's history.
It’s a fair portrayal of men of that time. I met Joaquin Jackson when he was with a West Texas sheriff transporting a prisoner down to Alpine on a change of venue.A quiet soft spoken no nonsense man.
I watched it, thought it was really good.
Hello All. All you who replied to my post.
OK, I watched it. Last night. It was good. Very good. Just like you all said it would be.
Except Woody Harrelson. He was good in No Country for Old Men. But was it their intent to have Maney pose as a half senile old drunk? Or is that just bad acting on Harrelson’s part?
Thanks again all for recommending I see this movie.
