When a tarrif is levied, who pays that tariff, initially? The government who then passes it to the manufacturer?
I wonder, does assessing a tariff on an illegal commodity make that commodity legal?
Could the US assess a 500% tariff on specific hallucinogenic drugs and opioids smuggled into the US when discovered?
...and Mexico will pay for it!

Reading article bitt posted last night that CTH botched - it seems clear the Mule has been working on a lot of stuff for a long time and POTUS / WH Counsel was cooperating & told that the Mule was done looking at “collusion” many months ago.
Regardless ... come close of markets this afternoon ... would be a good time for a surprise. And since the DEMs have demanded that all of the Mule report be revealed ASAP ... TBD ;)
