Just another FBI statistic popping up.
Boys will be boys.
I was a very young man with a bright future at the time!!
WTH happened? :)
Now excuse me, I have to go fix my flux capacitor.
He was a good boy. All the neighbors loved his infectious smile. He was working on applying to college, and was about to marry his baby mama
Me too !!!
That guys super duper funny
this is really sad because everyone knew he was on the verge of turning his motorcycle around ...
who?
Yep. Most of early rap was fun and lighthearted.
Going all the way back to Debbie Harry in Blondie, singing
“Rapture” 1980. I can hear the intro with the strong baseline riff, accented by those brass bells right now.
Another favorite of that time: “Genius of Love” by the Tom Tom Club, 1981. Both mega-hits.
I think you may be right Morgana, seems there are articles from at least mid February saying Nipsey was making documentary about a Dr Sebi who heals people without traditional medical approach. Seems Dr Sebi was previously killed too.
I remember.
I was born in ‘68 and grew up during the metal and glam rock years when satan’s music was going to destroy the world.
Compared to today’s rap, Motley Crue and Poison wrote church lyrics.
I remember all the fuss when 2 Live Crew came out, heck that stuff is G-Rated compared to the stuff today.
Yeah it is!
The only rock band with some songs that come close happen to be one of my favorite bands, GnR.
But I didn’t like ANY of the songs with very vulgar lyrics.
Not because they were vulgar, but because they weren’t very good.
But they wrote my anthem, “One in a Million”, for us white teens who felt the ill winds of change coming.
If he were home and in bed, he might be alive today. Sad!
Wow. Youre OLD! :-)

Nipsey Russell’s best all-time poem:
The opposite of ‘pro’ is ‘con’
This fact is clearly seen
But if ‘progress’ means move forward
What does ‘Congress’ mean?
