This reminds me of the episode of “King of the Hill” where Ladybird goes missing at the same time Khan is cooking hamburgers.
“opportunistic community member”
Mexicans
That is just cold.
Whether it was an escaped pet or livestock, I still don't see the rationale for killing and slaughtering it right then. That guy sounds like a complete scumbag.
This has nothing to do with it being a pet or not.
It was theft no matter what.
You can bet it was a Hispanic...probably illegal
I’m not sure about that—I don’t know that that many pigs wander north looking for a better life, and I don’t really think that wherever they came from they should be given ethnic labels.
If pigs had a choice, I think most of them identify as Orthodox Jews to reduce their chance of being eaten. Muslims may say that they won’t eat pork, but if I was a pig, I wouldn’t bet my life on that.
The guy will likely be prosecuted for killing a pig. Had he killed a human, likely nada would happen to an illegal.
(I can say that. I'm a Tennesseean.)
Some illegal yelled “cerdo” and the hunt was begun.
Five degrees of tastey bacon.
LOL, years ago I heard a knock at the door. When I opened the door a very large white hog ran in. We ran him back out. We tried to run him off but he wouldn't go. We went all over the neighborhood trying to find out who owned him but since it was summer and garden season nobody would claim him. We live on a farm so we put him up, fattened him up some more, and put him in the freezer.
He was extremely tame but not a pet. Most people I know that have pet pigs have the smaller ones and they decorate them with collars, harnesses, walk them on leashes, and generally treat them like a dog. Pigs aren't my idea of a pet but I don't have a problem with other people having them.
“That guy sounds like a complete scumbag.”
+1
This is some nutburger shit hole where people imagine animals to be like humans.
That is the exact same (not just similar, or related, but exactly the same) mentality which (if left unconfronted) eventually leads to imagining that some men have vaginal, and some women have penises.
The exact same twisted reasoning has to be used to defend either foolish notion. So given time, everyone who embraces one must come to embrace the other.
Yes, killing that pet pig was wrong, but calling the act savagery is over the top. Ms. Hogan’s mother might as well stop buying meat at the grocery store, if simply killing and butchering a pig is her standard for savagery.
Hopefully, the uncouth butcher will be facing charges.
In other words, some starving sh!thole.
That’s what happened in the movie Cross Creek.
Not really pig killing weather
I agree. Wouldn’t be funny if it happened to a dog or cat.
Justice For Juicy!
Reminds me of a few years back on Oahu, some guy’s dog went missing near a golf course. In searching, they found a couple Filipino groundskeepers that had barbecued the pooch.
