It’s by David Horsey, cartoonist of the Seattle Times. Back in the 1980s, people on both sides could look at something like that and laugh.

If anybody pays more than $21 for that piece of leftist condescending generality, they’re nuts. On the other hand, I might pay $210 for it as a prop to place in a gallery illustrating liberalism’s overblown paranoia and relentless pursuit of stereotype.

$2100 for a 1980s novelty item?
Sheaaaaright.
Even a mint promotional poster for ANY movie from the 1980s wouldn’t be worth two-grand.
$10 would be overly generous.

THIS set the standard for novelty maps in the real 1980s. Launched hundreds of parody posters.

The liberals are mocking Reagan, and don't see that they things they posted are actually true.

In my forthcoming bio “Reagan: the American President” (May 7) I uncovered papers of Reagan’s first meeting with the German Chancellor who said Reagsn had a clearer assessment of world politics than any of his predecessors.

Did anyone else notice that the parody of Reagan’s thinking is still smarter than the Democrat’s view of the world? (Then, and probably even now.)

The United States occupies a massively overlarge position, with South America, Africa and India among others reduced to a fraction of their true size and Canada described as a U.S. 'subsidiary'. In other words, it accurately reflects political and economic reality.
