How do they think animals got to these islands in the first place?

In before the kitty lovers stroke out.

Each cat will have to be culled 9 times. Thats a lot of work considering how many feral cats there are.

The Brits are pushing stories all over the Internet about the decline insect species, and now small mammals (rodents?) Is there something in the water over in the UK?

I think they should be culled.
Not for the reasons stated, just on general principle.

Wait, so it is our fault that kitties and piggies and all have to eat?
I don't know anyone, anywhere that eats a cat. Obama eats dog, and pigs, well we all eat BACON...
On a more serious note, and no, not many things more important that BACON, it is interesting that most of extinctions occur on these island, by animals--not directly by humans. We eliminate these animals and we stop the bulk of extinctions? A nice Pareto Chart is in order.

There are an equal number of people who wouldn’t go along with this simply because it is a Leftist point of view, and reading this article, it sounds like leftist environmentalist boilerplate.

I agree, I don’t have a problem with culling things that are out of balance. I don’t hunt, but isn’t deer hunting by humans exactly that, and in a positive way?

Is there something in the water ...
Either propaganda or some religious cult.

In the spirit of stroked out cat lovers, I offer Sungirl's final post:
How long can I keep expired prescription drugs? What happens if you take them when they are like 5 years old? Are they just weakened? Or can they make you sick? Just wondering.

Locally, coastal Oregon, biologists poison native wildlife in favor of expanding a small population of snowy plovers. The plovers have been expanding there range nationally, and when they reached Oregon, the enviros saw a chance to clamp down on human activity.
