YouTube has terminated an account that was seemingly operating as a secondary channel for Alex Jones and Infowars after its first one was banned last August.
A statement from YouTube confirmed that the channel, Resistance News, was banned for aiding in Jones’ ban evasion. The channel carried reuploaded live streams from Jones’ deleted Infowars channel and included new conspiracy theory videos as well. YouTube will remove channels that are dedicated to live-streaming Infowars content or uploading videos of full Infowars live streams without additional context or commentary.
“When users violate these policies repeatedly, like our policies against hate speech and harassment or our terms prohibiting circumvention of our enforcement measures, we terminate their accounts,” a YouTube spokesperson said.
The existence of Resistance News was first reported by Media Matters earlier today. The channel was created in 2015, and it has amassed just over 64,000 subscribers. Like Infowars, many of the videos focus on conspiracy theories surrounding politics and major events. Two videos, in particular, refer to the recent mass shooting in New Zealand, in which 50 people were killed, as “false flag attacks.”

Time to break up Google with an antitrust action, and to remove their protection as a neutral Channel, and make them responsible is a publisher for content.
Also what needs to be forbidden to access Google or any Google product on any government computer. And absolutely no government contracts for any kind of information service should be awarded to a company that censors is based on Free Speech.

They did much more damage than Alex Jones could’ve ever hoped for. I wonder how much of their lying fake news affect the last elections.
They did in fact mean freedom to be heard by the public, and if you are stopping the public from hearing a message because you don't like it, then you should not be allowed to control any communications infrastructure.

I think it is completely reasonable that people of our political party should be given access to all the national television infrastructure.
Newspapers are less problematic because they do not reach the same size audience as Television.
Yes, we should be able to demand half the air time from the Liberal networks to rebut the lies they spread, and to give the public an avenue to the News they censor. The media-weapon-system does more damage by censoring real news (like the destruction of Venezuela from Communism) then they do by making up crap stories like the Russian collusion hoax.
