EASTLAKE, Ohio -- A 20-year-old man has been charged after being accused of assaulting a 17-year-old boy he caught sexually assaulting a 5-year-old boy, police say.
Richard Adams, of Painesville, is charged with felonious assault in the incident that happened about 8:15 p.m. Thursday on East 363rd Street near Vine Street, according to court records and a police report.
The 17-year-old has been charged with rape, the report says.
Adams walked in on the boy sexually assaulting the child and started fighting with him, the report says.
Police did not say if either of them were injured or provide any information on the child’s condition.
Police have not released any further details on the incident.
Yep. If I were his lawyer I’d tell him not to accept any plea deal and insist on a jury trial. You know at least one person on that jury (like me for example) would refuse to convict no matter what. I’d bet most if not all of the jury would refuse to convict. I’d refuse to convict if he put the 17 year old in a coma.
I suppose Ohio would also prosecute a bystander who shot a gunman in the process of a mass shooting.
Now Barbara Streisand can tell us that the 17 year-old’s “sexual needs were his sexual needs” and the victim was “thrilled to be there”. Apparently stopping a child rape is a hate crime if the perpetrator is gay.
There is no “Good Samaritan Law” for assisting the 5 year old?
They should have given the 20YO a freaking medal.

Found an article that says the 20yo posted a video fof the 17yo having been beaten, while a man is heard in the background telling the 17yo to comfess to the crime. So they are determining if it is vigilantism.
Then the reporting on this story is crap. Which is quite likely these days.
WTF Moment Alert!
In Texas, last year, a man beat a man to death when he caught him sexually abusing his daughter/or niece. Local prosecutor didn’t even take it to a grand jury.

Reporters seem to just quote from police blotters. The police are tight-lipped. In this case, some reporter seems to have heard the story, and decided to just talk to the guy and report from his point of view.
I kind of expect he’ll get off when it’s all done, but if the story is as it appears, I can’t blame the prosecutor for at least pursuing it; while it is laudible to step in and stop a sexual assault, if you then try to get the guy to confess (possibly by torturing him or threatening him), you have crossed some sort of line.
(Note that if it was a “white nationalist” being tortured, the left would be cheering the vigilante on. I heard a story yesterday that some profoundly drunk girl ran over and killed “neo-nazi”, and people were posting that at least she didn’t kill a human being. Which is of course how the Nazi’s conditioned people to get rid of the Jews, but I digress).
