From the mid 80s until around 2005 I traveled by air quite a bit. Business flights, out 2 weeks per month at least. Knew all the hubs, watched the airport experience change into shopping and dining and saw Starbucks grow throughout the system. I rarely ate in the terminals but coffee was nice. I do remember eating once a Dallas, it was a TGIF and it was good.

But most of the joints at airports were or looked a little like carnaval fare to me. Slop, yuck, and no thank you.

While that last may be true, I’ve always seen them as a lawsuit scam, with the over the the top anti-homosexual stuff as the bait to get people to violate their 1A rights.

You got that right: TX is full of the most outlandish liberals anywhere, and they mean to win in 2020.

North Carolina will fight it.....are fighting it!
There are still many blessedly stubborn Appalachians who will not roll over.......They possess good old fashion common sense and ...they fight!

Texas is slowly-turning almost-purple, and blue near the mexican border. There are still bright red swaths, but the disease is spreading from the big cities, the border and other US States.

“This has constitutional challenge written all over it.”

Correct. I don’t see how Chip-fil-A has a cause of action for damages, but they absolutely should seek an injunction preventing the City from enforcing this contract. And they should consider basing the suit on the Texas, not federal, Constitution, and file in state court. Although they do have a great argument that the City is punishing them for doing exactly what the Citizens United case says they have a right to do under the First Amendment.

“Should be an easy win for the Chick-fil-a legal team if they want to go after the city taxpayers.”

We do not pay city or state taxes. Funny thing about this is thousands of military, veterans and other people pass through this airport daily and the sales tax that would go to the local government would be enormous. Guess they don’t see the irony in that.

You can bet that “Bribery” was the word of the day at that commetey meeting.. I said a long time ago that Mexico's way of doing business was coming north and Councilman Roberto Trevino just proves my point... If you need something done you got to pay the bite.. And you can bet none of those slop houses want to compete against Chick-fil-a, that's for sure...

“Any Freepers live in San Antonio, I plan on building a house there, should I think about going else where?”

I live in San Antonio. Escaped the Democratic Republic of Jersey 12 years ago. It’s a good place to live, with lots to do.

“Buy some Chick-Fil-A and eat it at the airport in the common areas whilst wearing a MAGA hat.”

Believe it or not, if you do that at San Antonio airport you won’t be alone. San Antonio is Military City USA.

Shoot, San Antonio has been one of those for a LONG time, it was that way when I left that town 30 years ago, and it hasn’t gotten any better over time.

Damages should be fairly easy to prove. Hire a couple of experts, track profits from similarly situated stores, and calculate out the lost sales.

For example, they have one in DFW Terminal C. Adjust for passenger volume and employee levels for that location. Confirm with other locations, fine tune the formulas, and you've got your evidence. The length of the contract is whatever it is, so multiply that out. The airport probably has some optimistic traffic growth projections they use for their bond offerings; use those against them as well.

Tampa International has a Child Fil A, the only time it isn’t busy is when it’s closed.

I’d take a sip of that Frosted Key Lime drink, add some rum, & enjoy it a whole lot more.

Tequila would be a better fit.

Meh. San Antonio is seriously overrated anyway. Even the Alamo was a disappointment.

But I think I'll swing by Chick-fil-A for lunch today.

This has constitutional challenge written all over it.

The problem is that since SCOTUS has criminalized dissent of the recognition of homosexual marriage then is dare not actually condemn discrimination against those who refuse to implicitly sanction/foster homosexual relations.

Even with Masterpiece bakery, in which the baker refused to be complicit in recognizing homosexual marriage (by creating a special work for that express purpose), consistent with the Word of God as well as the CO state constitution at the time, SCOTUS would not send a clear message that the persecution of him was wrong, that a business cannot be forced to go against its conscience in a precise situation as this, but made it seem like the real problem was the antagonistic manner by which the state persecuted him.

Now we have state governments that penalize those who oppose homosexual relations by way of support of traditional family values, even though they do not discriminate against homosexuals (if Chick-fil-A created custom works, or was a function hall, they would have to discriminate to be consistent with Biblical morals),

The doubt if SCOTUS would want to take a case of discrimination against Chick-fil-Am, since having made the bed they do not want to sleep in it.

Umm the did this guy not hear what Chick Fil A even said, the believe in the bibical definition of marriage but they as a business will not discriminate against anyone who has a different belief.
>>

Too bad the “tolerant” don’t see it the same way.

Hard to see when one has blinders on (and unwilling to remove ‘em, let alone sweep the horizon).

It is why there can be NO ‘debate’ w/ the Left. Theirs is only dogma, little/no logic/fact.

Sure, but they would rush to embrace a halal place, which represents people who throw gays off buildings.
