Yeah, I don’t see baseball surviving as it had before. NFL, NHL, NBA all have quite strong ticket sales and fan interest, but MLB seems to be waning quickly. You can see it in high school sports as well - parents are more willing to put their kids in soccer for spring sports than baseball.

The Dodgers and Yankees drew almost four million each last season. Plus they also have very lucrative local cable network deals. While the Angels are not quite on that level they are not hurting either. This deal certainly doesn't strain their finances.

The Astros regularly sell out or nearly sell out all season long. And the tickets aren’t cheap.
