The longtime [Green Bay] Packers pass rusher is headed to play for the Los Angeles Rams, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the situation on Tuesday. Now 32, Matthews is still a weapon in the rush, but has slowed as evidenced by his 3.5 sacks in 16 starts in 2018. But he'll get a fresh start in a familiar place with a chance to help the reigning NFC champions get back to the Super Bowl.

He was a great player in his time. No longer an impact player.

It all depends on the player when talking age.
He didn’t get many sacks last year so maybe he’s slowed down.
There’s there’s a few guys that are lightening until 35 and beyond.
Mayweather was title holder at 38.
It’s genetics maybe, how much damage you’ve taken, i guess a bunch of things.

Good for him! He was built to star in beach movies, not Ice Station Zebra remakes.. maybe Lebron can hire him to star in a Claymation show... ClayWatch.

Is Green Bay trying to free up some room on their salary cap?

FYI I was a Cardinal and Gold member of USC Football and sports for years, my daughter graduated from there, was in the Marching Band for 4 years as well and it is a tough school to get into. I watched Clay play in the Coliseum and I can judge from your comment you probably went to a lesser school
Oh well, they don’t let just anybody in, Private school

Don’t know about the specifics of Green Bay but if there are no other threats, then a good offense can just double team players like Matthews and shut them down.

You're right.
My family didn't have $500k to get any of us kids into that school.

Oh well, they dont let just anybody inWait, isn't USC the very same school that just last week was in the news for Lori Loughlin scamming her daughters into the school with bribes of $500k and photoshopping her daughter as a rowing athlete? Yes that USC. Doesn't sound too hard to get in with some $$$$ placed in the right hands.
To: Deaf Smith
Yup. USC = University of Spoiled Children.
