On Thursday I posted a clip of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) endorsing an effort from her colleague, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), to lower the voting age to 16.
I myself personally Im not speaking for my caucus, I myself have always been for lowering the voter the voting age to 16, Pelosi said during her weekly press conference. I think its really important to capture kids when theyre in high school, when theyre interested in all of this, when theyre learning about government to be able to vote. But my view is that I would welcome that. But I had been in that position for a long time.
Since then, young Americans have begun sharing stories of what they were doing as 16-year-olds, and why this doesnt bode well for this demographic shaping the course of foreign and domestic policy.
Below, please enjoy some of the most hilarious explanations of why Pelosis push to again lower the voting age might not be such a hot idea.
Logan Hall @loganclarkhall when i was 16, my friends and i bought a live lobster, put it on a leash, and walked it around the neighborhood at 2am

Get them voting while they are still getting indoctrinated by government schools!
Just last year 16 year olds were eating Tide Pods and snorting condoms. . . . Enough said.
+100
I hear nearly every American complain that their vote means nothing, lobbyists, corporations and politics insiders control Washington DC or their State capitals, and that political corruption is rampant.
And yet “the vote” is constantly being devalued and cheapened, by their politicians. Nancy Pelosi is trying it once again.
Don’t people see the connection???
NONE of those many links are active links.
I’m not saying your post is bad, but:
the author would have been mmmmmmuch more effective if visitors could simply click on the tweets, instead of copying them, then pasting them into a new browser window each time.
Irrational Democrats in action.
They really have to put an upper age limit on voting like 18 so we can harvest every last vote during that preciously short time when teenagers still know everything
But when it comes to insurance they are children until they are 26. Mature enough to vote while in HS, but too immature to support themselves well into young adulthood.
I just read the tweets and thought they were funny—some of them LOL funny!
Oh and not mature enough to own a gun or drink until they’re 21.
That’s probably the plan. Controlling teens is like herding cats. On second thought, they’re probably planning massive election tampering and can explain the results using the teens’ votes.
Logic and consistency—not Dem strengths.
The left wants to lower the age of sexual consent. This will be a gift to pedophiles, who vote dem. They want to consider anyone under 29 as a minor when it comes to insurance policies and criminal responsibility. They want men to marry 10 year olds, as a gift to m*slims, who vote dem.
No logic or consistency. Just gifts to their constituencies.
Yep. That’s the Dems for you. They pass laws raising the minimum age for everything, including buying cigarettes, and set curfews for driving. But they want the kids to vote - for them, of course.
Times have changed but I recall not too long ago when boys, soon to be men were 16, they were interested in chasing women and finding someone 18 to buy them a six pack of beer not politics.
At least this poster admits to being a Pajama Guy.
This is a ploy to not only get more Democrat voters (naive children manipulated by liberal educators) but also one designed to facilitate the lowering of the age of consent to further exploit children.
The left’s war on children has no bounds.
Ah...the wisdom of a sixteen year old. Been there, done that. I remember it well even thought it has been nearly 60 years ago.
My focus back then was on the opposite sex, cars, rock/blues music, etc. not politics. As I recall, the discussion of politics and religion were to be avoided whenever possible. It wasn’t “cool” or worth arguing much less fighting over.
In the 1960 (Kennedy vs. Nixon) presidential election, given what little (fact or fiction) I knew (discussed at home or among classmates at school) at the time, would have been biased in favor of whoever I was told to vote for by the highest authority I trusted. If they told me to vote for Robert E. Lee, I would have done so and the joke would have been on me.
Up until then, I had nothing in the game of politics, but that changed with Viet Nam. To quote a popular song, I was “Like a Virgin”, kissed for the very first time... Pelosi and the other political scum who would take our political virginity and rape us need more virgin voters to survive, otherwise the game is over.
