Check out Albert King. He did the same thing, as do I. I think Doyle Bramhall II, Bobby Womack and Bob Geldof played lefty with righty strings as well. I know Jimi Hendrix learned to play that way but switched over to standard strings before he got famous.

...was alleged by Dick Dale to have been Hendrix's way of encouraging his recuperation when Dale was seriously ill. RIP.
