A former Fox News employee plans to tell Congress about allegations that the outlet tried to stop her from reporting on the Stormy Daniels controversy during the 2016 election, citing an exception to a nondisclosure agreement she signed. On Thursday, House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings formally requested that the reporter, Diana Falzone, talk with committee investigators and provide documents related to her attempts to report on Daniels’ allegations that Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former longtime lawyer, paid her hush money after an alleged affair with Trump in 2006. Falzone’s lawyer, Nancy Erika Smith, told MSNBC on Thursday night that Falzone will now comply under an exception to her NDA with Fox News.

If it’s a crime for a news channel to selectively report the news, they’re all in trouble.

How can this possibly be relevant for Congress to investigate? Even republicans left CNN alone.

From Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diana_Falzone

“In January 2017, Falzone wrote an article published on the Fox News website revealing that she suffered from endometriosis, a condition that rendered her infertile: “It was just days after my 33rd birthday when my doctor delivered the worst news of my life: I will likely never have a child and fulfill my greatest wish of being a mother.... When hit with the news that I am infertile, I could not stop crying. And not only was it very unlikely I’d ever conceive, my health was in jeopardy.”[4] Falzone alleges that she sought Fox News’ approval to publish an article before publication.[4]

“In May 2017, Falzone filed a lawsuit against Fox News in New York State Supreme Court alleging gender and disability discrimination, and alleging that she had been banned from taking part in on-air activities at Fox News three days after the article was published.[5] Falzone further alleged that after the article ran, a supervisor informed her that senior network executives Bill Shine and Jack Abernethy had banned her from ever appearing on FoxNews.com, and that she was not permitted to host her own shows, conduct her own interviews, appear on Fox TV, or do voiceovers, and that she should look for another job.[5][4] Falzone alleges that she filed a formal complaint of discrimination through the 21st Century Fox hotline, but Fox declined to put her back on the air or otherwise redress her complaint.[5] Her attorneys argue in the complaint that the revelation regarding Falzone’s infertility, “detracted from her sex appeal and made her less desirable” in the eyes of the “male-dominated senior management of Fox News.”[4][6]”

She’s obviously carrying a grudge.

So what's all that got to do with a story about Trump?

The argument against FOX is sex and disability infractions, NOT a story.

The dems will pay for continuing to be buttholes.

“Cummings’ letter requests an interview with Falzone and any documents regarding payments by Trump “to silence women.,..”

Pray tell, just what kinds of “documents” does the bimbo have that proves anything.

And why doesn’t Trump’s lawyers just come out and tell the public, like Levin does all the time, that what Trump did did violate campaign laws.

Is the little weasel Cummings now intending to impeach Fox news?

Are there any documents, photos, etc., documenting that he got hit on the head at Selma?

She is also either stupid herself of thinks her target audience is. Success rate for pregnancies with IVF is higher than for the average infertile woman. She would have been better putting her energy into researching her options than overdramatizing.

The Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are holding this hearing concerning the alleged spiking by Fox News of the story about payments made to Stormy Daniels as part of what they call "Sunshine Week 2019" which is this according to the committee's fact sheet.
Exposing Secrecy in the Trump Administration

The Trump Administration is engaged in an unprecedented level of stonewalling and secrecy. This week, Oversight Committee Democrats will highlight critical issues that warrant more transparency from this Administration.
    .
    .
    .
•  Withholding Information on “Hush Money” Payments Directed by the President: On February 15, 2019, Chairman Cummings sent a third round of letters to the White House and the Trump Organization requesting documents related to President Trump's debts and payments to his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to silence women before the election

The utter hypocrisy and lack of any shame of the Democrats will be on full display while they're intoning into their microphones during the hearing how they're after transparency because every member of both parties at the very end of the last Congress in December 2018 unanimously consented to the passage of S.3749 - Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 Reform Act that
“amends the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (CAA) to revise administrative and judicial dispute resolution procedures for certain claims by employees alleging that employing offices have violated their CAA rights and protections, including protections against sexual harassment.”
That summary is followed by a listing of the bill's revisions and applicability and requirements and even the renaming of the Compliance Office. However, it's what left out of the accounting that is the really important part and the key element of the hypocrisy because in passing the bill, our stand up Congressional denizens on both sides of the aisle forever locked away which individual members of Congress did the sexual harassing that we've had to pay for.

(b) Report on amounts previously paid

(1) IN GENERAL.—Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights shall submit to Congress and make available to the public on the Office’s public website a report on all payments made with public funds (to include funds paid from the account described in section 415(a) of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1415(a)), an account of the House of Representatives or Senate, or any other account of the Federal Government) prior to the date of the enactment of this Act for awards and settlements in connection with violations of section 201(a) of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1311(a)), or section 207 of such Act (2 U.S.C. 1317), and shall include in the report the following information:

(A) The amount paid for each such award or settlement.

(B) The source of the public funds used for the award or settlement.

(2) RULE OF CONSTRUCTION REGARDING IDENTIFICATION OF HOUSE AND SENATE ACCOUNTS.—Nothing in paragraph (1)(B) may be construed to require or permit the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights to report the account of any specific office of the House of Representatives or Senate as the source of funds used for an award or settlement.
