James Bond is not an activist. There's the boozing, the womanizing, the license to kill. More than a few submarines downed in the ocean. That mess on the Russian border couldn't have been good for anybody. But Daniel Craig is not a typical James Bond. And Cary Joji Fukunaga is not a typical director. With that pair teamed up for the next entry in the franchise, we're about to see another side of the British super-spy: Environmentalist. In the still-yet-to-be-named Bond 25, 007 is taking the wheel of a £250,000 all-electric Aston Martin Rapide E, per a report from the Sun. The choice was spearheaded by Fukunaga, a "total tree-hugger," who really wanted to see Bond upping his green credentials.

Ru Paul, LOL. Yep, the next Bond girl could be some cross dresser, or transsexual, to be “with it” and in tune with the modern times of gender bending.
IF a bad guy steals the car and drives it off the side of a cliff, will it explode in mid air for absolutely no reason at all?
If all you knew about our culture is what you saw on TV such as sports, sitcoms, news, & commercials, you might conclude that America is majority black.
“Bond. Jane Bond. Double-oh-eight. James is no longer with the Service. And I am just as into chicks. Which reminds me, I have the rest of the day off while the car charges. Is there an anti-pipeline rally you’d like to go to?”
In the next movie, we get to see James Bond attending Sexual Harrassment training while he wears an Empathy Belly.
Completely accurate. My wife cringes at every commercial that blasts hip hop music in the background. Every commercial also has to have the dumb white guys being enlightened by the super-intelligent and informed black woman or man.
It isnt our imagination. Diversity is the baseline for every..........single.........commercial.

Exactly——I have to turn them off-——the group they seem to be REALLY pushing is young women who seem to be financial and home repair geniuses.
.
I wonder why people always forget Timothy Dalton, I thought he was the best bond for a while before the Daniel Craig era.
And you know the thing will never need charging...he’s Bond after all!
And you know the thing will never need charging...he’s Bond after all!
As long as he utterly destroys it I’m OK...
Yeah, it’s gone way beyond stupid white hubbie who can’t tuck his shirt in while being schooled by his smart, sassy, & well turned out wife.
But I betcha won’t see a biracial couple in a TV ad anytime soon. Ironic, because my wife & I have been friends for years with one; she’s black and he’s white and she is undoubtedly the smarter of the two.
And the other half is gay (hat tip > Rush)
Learned in middle school that all the top women’s fashion designers were faggies.
I have not seen any Daniel Craig Bond flicks, so I don’t know if the gadgets are still a big part of each movie. However, if there is one thing about a Bond car, it is the fact that the viewer must ignore what they know about cars when a gadget laden Aston Martin zooms by. We all know that a real car could not hold all of that stuff and be driveable, but we love the cars anyway. We just chalk it up to Q being able to create cool stuff, probably with top secret technology making everything go. The boffins in Q’s shop are probably using batteries that make the car drive twice as fast with ten times the range, taking up half the space to make room for the laser cannons and wings.
Hope the chase scenes are not over 5 miles or end up in the river.
He should drive an AMC Matador like Roger Moore in the Man with the Golden Gun.
James Bond franchise has passed its expiration date
Indeed! And given the "new" Q ... he certainly looks the "green" type.
Will it have submarine capabilities like the Lotus?
A British electric car with submarine capabilities, what could go wrong?
