James Bond is not an activist. There's the boozing, the womanizing, the license to kill. More than a few submarines downed in the ocean. That mess on the Russian border couldn't have been good for anybody. But Daniel Craig is not a typical James Bond. And Cary Joji Fukunaga is not a typical director. With that pair teamed up for the next entry in the franchise, we're about to see another side of the British super-spy: Environmentalist. In the still-yet-to-be-named Bond 25, 007 is taking the wheel of a £250,000 all-electric Aston Martin Rapide E, per a report from the Sun. The choice was spearheaded by Fukunaga, a "total tree-hugger," who really wanted to see Bond upping his green credentials.

They really need to make a political statement about James Bond, in an electric car?
What of James and the ladies? Will the Me Too movement be placated; will he not have a leading lady love interest in the next movie?
Or just die during a high speed chase :)

As I noted in another thread on this subject:
I have enjoyed Daniel Craig’s Bond role. Despite his personal lifestyle preferences, his portrayal of Bond has been closer to the Ian Fleming character than any other Bond actor, except possibly George Lazenby, who wasn’t even an actor really. Connery was always the original Bond for those who never read the books, but even his portrayal was not as dark as Ian Flemings intent. Connery was cool, but not so cold. Craig plays a cold character, matching Flemings 007 character.
I hope that while the new movie may feature a stunt involving an electric car, it does not detract from what the franchise has done to rebuild 007 since the campy days of Moore, Brosnan, etc.
Like most things like this, I don’t care that he’ll be driving a glorified golf cart. It’s the REASON he’ll be doing it.
I’ve said for years that if all you knew about our culture is what you saw in movies you would think that half our presidents were female or black, and everyone uses an Apple computer.
So now spies drive glorified golf carts.
Stick him in a Ford GT and let’s watch...
Cast Bond as a Black Handicapped Tranny that lives in a mosque whose primary job is to expose the corruption in Big corporations who are polluting the atmosphere and causing the destruction of the Earth by Climate Change. His electric car was developed by "Q" never needs charging. Ever.

Bond is cast as about as non-PC as ever, and I hope they keep him that way.
He’ll never know if his car explodes from the batteries or from sabotage. He’ll never catch the bad guy’s gas fueled car. He’ll constantly have to stop to charge the thing. What a weenie.
Ru Paul will be the Bond girl.
May not be Bond’s thing, but an electric car would be right up Q’s alley.
