Maybe in some places......still. There was a time where I lived that they had a hobby area in our regional park that included separate areas for sail cars, RC Planes, RC cars, archery and model rocketry. I used to build the kits with my kids and we would have a great time firing them into the sky.
Then one day the county board of A-Holes decided that 90% of the hobby area would be better used as another golf course and that was the end of all but, I believe the Archery Range. Now it is illegal for kids to enjoy model rocketry almost everywhere and that sucks for young imaginations.
