1952 was around the time my father first took me to the Garden, so my "career" as a Ranger fan sort of overlapped Howell's career. The Rangers didn't have much beyond their first line in those days so Howell had a lot of work, and he did it well.

old time Rangers fan but never saw Howell play...to this day Eddie Giacomin is my all time favorite athlete..

Was also an Oakland Seal (and Los Angeles King) and in the WHA, he was with the San Diego Mariners (and also New York Golden Blades and Jersey Knights when franchise was in those locations) and the Calgary Cowboys.
