Indeed. I read that a large part of the opening box office was pre-sales (i.e. before word of mouth).
They’re free to do that - but it makes you wonder that if they’ll change search algorithms on the fly like this for a MOVIE - what will they do for something they really believe in? Like political power?
Rotten tomatoes has completely destroyed their value (can you ever take a tomato score at face value again?) for social justice. YouTube and google skew their search algorithms and I’m supposed to take these box office values at face value?
This mostly came across when she kept saying "I'm not saying I hate white dudes".
For some reason, I laughed a lot at that.

I don’t watch comic book movies and never have understood grown man fascination with it all. Comic books for me were Classics Illustrated in the 60s

lol. I just realized i’ve turned into the older FReeper that now knows better because when I first joined i would have given the answer about giving the movies a chance, blah blah :)
I stopped going to see superhero movies after I became an adult. They’re for adolescents and perpetual adolescents.
It made over 450 Million opening weekend. Made back its cost and more... anyone telling you this thing was going to flat out bomb doesn’t have a bloody clue.
$150 million was just in US.
Sorry but if you were rooting for this thing to bomb you truly know nothing.
This was always going to make money, the question was always how much.
I saw it, thought it was MEH.. 3 out or 5 starts. Not marvels worst movie, not its best, but there was never any doubt it would make money.

I don’t condemn you for going to the movie. You wouldn’t care anyway if I did. I’m nobody special.
But I won’t give them a dime even for a “Good” movie because the money fuels pedophilia, destroying our president, and warping our young.
I live my own hypocrisy with amazon prime so I don’t point fingers.
But i was finding myself walking out of too many movies after paying 12 bucks so I just wait for them to be free and then i can just shut it if the politics sickens me.
I think encouraging the portrayal of women as "warriors" is destructive to the nation.
