Cataract surgery would have done him wonders.
A great aunt and uncle of mine lived between vburg and there. Small farm but he worked in vburg. She crocheted the most beautiful things. The dainty crochet with thread that looks not much bigger than hair. Could make excellent chicken/dumplings too.
I used to be a regular watcher of “Airwolf”. He also starred in the miniseries “The Winds of War”. His acting career was sabotaged by his personal demons.
I never watched Airwolf but I liked Jan-Michael because he reminded me of my Hubby when he was young......certainly not now though. I do wish him peace.......
RIP...
Apparently he had congestive heart failure/blockage heart problems; cataract surgery wouldn’t have helped that.
I didnt even know he was still alive.”””
Same here.
I used to live in So Calif & boarded horses t the op of DeSoto in Brown’s Canyon.
ALOT of filming of Airwolf was done on those canyons & on the hills at the top of Brown’s Canyon.
Uh-Oh, Chongo-o-o-o-o-o!!!
I didn’t know about the car crash.
DAMNATION ALLEY! Great movie though I think it would bore me today.

But it was his role as helicopter pilot Stringfellow Hawke in Airwolf that made him a star. The show, which ran from 1984 to 1986, earned him $200,000 per episode, making him the highest paid actor at the time.
That is sad. But perhaps his addictions were taking a toll on his personality. My own cousin morphed into someone I didn’t know when he was not sober. On the other hand, maybe Jan just had a typical Hollywood ego while Ernest Borgnine didn’t. I liked them both, as actors. It’s terrible that Jan’s life turned into a trainwreck.
Enjoyed his work. RIP.
He did have a bad car accident DWI.
At one time, he was a hot hunk but too quickly the drugs took their toll and he looked like the walking dead. It’s the story of too many Hollyweirdos.
That interview. Wow. Just wow. Didn’t know about his leg.
“Ernest Borgnine was a cool and gracious. Jan Michael Vincent was not.”
Much as I suspected.
Probably had to sign over his assets to his supplier.

I just watched The Mechanic and thought to myself Hes the last major cast member still living..
Self destructed his career.
RIP.
