THE GOOD ABOUT IDENTITY POLITICS (FOR THEM)
The good part (for them) is that they don't have to discuss issues (which is hard for them, because there is no popular mandate for their policies, and many of their base are not interested in the details) they can instead work with emotion. Things like enfranchisement, perceived discrimination, aspects of tribal politics, us against them, etc.
THE BAD ABOUT IDENTITY POLITICS (FOR THEM...AND FOR US)
The bad part (for them, and all of us) is that they begin to run out of classes of victimhood or aggrieved. The snake begins to eat its own tail, because those groups in society can only be plumbed so deep...it isn't a bottomless well they can continue to dip the bucket into. At some point, they have to keep creating more victims to pit against some other portion of society. And as we saw recently with Asian students in New York who lost seats in a school admissions issue to black students...the victims interests will eventually collide.
In the process of trying to steer these groups of aggreived voters, they create hate, tension, racism, bigotry, sexism, and nearly every other "ism" that can be dreamed up in order to whip them up so they vote for the Left. As that is going on, every other aspect of society suffers including the aggrieved class themselves.
So the problem with the Left is...their voter base will shrink without new subscribers to victimhood. They have three ways to make that up: Illegal Immigration, Voter Fraud, and extending the vote to teenagers under 18 or younger.
Illegal Immigration is running up against political resistance, and it is hoped, will get controlled, as well as changing LEGAL immigration to get rid of a lottery and a system heavily slanted to bring in people who gravitate to the Leftist side because they lack skills and will be dependent on government largesse.
Voter Fraud is hard, labor intensive work involving a lot of mouths that speak, eyes that see, and ears that hear, is legally risky, and unless done right, prone to failure.
Their best bet is teen voting. There is all upside and no downside, as nearly anyone who has ever been sixteen can attest to if you look at it from a Leftist perspective. High degrees of alienation, idealism, the desire to be treated like an adult, the arrogance of youth that you have all the facts and experience, and nobody can change your mind.
They don't have to pay taxes and bills the same way adults do (generally) and they usually don't have families to support. Those that do have families to support are getting government money in some form.
In short...it is ALL emotion and ignorance, which is what the Left banks on.
And sixteen and 17 year olds have that in spades.
There are between 10 and 15 million Americans aged 16 and 17.
Think of that. How many of them, with their brains filled with brainwashed crap force fed them by Hollywood, the media, and their schools, are going to vote with the Left?
You don't have to be a genius to see why they are doing this.
This is what the democrats are trying for, to have illegal immigrants vote in American elections so they will win big. They feel the illigal immigrants will view them as doing things for them so they will vote democrat. Nancy Pelosi will do this and the ‘hell with her constituents!
So they are now changing the phrases “illegal aliens” and “undocumented workers” to “newcomers”. What next?

It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegaly exempting those who do so legally and meet US citizenship requirements. All subject to reciprocal citizen treatment a citizen of the United States receives in Mexico through the Mexican constitution on citizenship .
Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote,and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. And until that is changed the US and the affected state should consider making that reciprocal. Prohibiting any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership prviledges fully enforced ..

Evidenced by Section 2 of the 14th Amendment (14A) which describes a penalty for activist states that weaken the voting power of citizens to try to swing the outcome of an election, hypothetically speaking, I wouldn’t be surprised if post-Civil War Democratic lawmakers would condemn Pelosi’s bleeding heart support for undocumented Democrats having the power to vote.
”14th Amendment, Section 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens [emphasis added] twenty-one years of age in such State."
Regarding Section 2 of 14A, the congressional record shows that post-Civil War federal constitutional lawmakers had pointed out not only that ONLY citizens have the right to vote, but when a renegade state lets undocumented Democrats vote (my wording) the state is effectively nullifying the Constitution’s “uniform Rule of Naturalization” clause (1.8.4).
