As Girl Scout cookies season comes to a close, parents should be aware that the organization does not exactly have family-friendly values at its heart.
Though the organization's ties to abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood have been known for years, the Girl Scouts of America have yet to be so forthright about their closeted support for abortion.
Until now.
According to LifeNews, the group MyGirlScoutCouncil.com, which has been monitoring the organization for years over its pro-abortion stance, discovered last Friday that the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona honored a girl for her volunteer work on "reproductive health justice."
"Meghna Gopalan, recently profiled in a Tucson publication, received the Gold Award, the Girl Scouts highest honor, for her work," reports LifeNews. "Her project involved working with the pro-abortion Womens March and its affiliate in Tucson. She said her goal was to 'educate people about and destigmatize access to womens healthcare' euphemisms for abortion."

I stopped purchasing Girl Scout items years ago.
My beloved is a great fan of their Mint cookies. As he purchases them, gets annoyed at himself. He’s tried other Mint cookies and says they are still the best. He wishes other girl clubs would sell cookies.
We usually see eye to eye.
As he doesn’t force me to eat them, I just let his stomach live with the cognitive dissonance.
Unlike chocolate chip cookies, there are no girl scouts in girl scout cookies.
Note to self: Never buy another box of cookies from the Girl Scouts. Sorry, I don’t support murder.
When will they admit boys? Or do they have to declare themselves as girls first?
I used to buy Girl Scout cookies...I don’t anymore.
Each passing day, I am more grateful I never had any kids.
The individual Troops are products of the moms who run them.... and most are decent folks
The Organization leadership in NYC, long ago became nothing but left wing radicals....
Juliette Gordon Low’s body has surely spun itself into dust, over what her organization has sadly become.
Give the girl a $1, the local troop cut of the box is maybe that if not less... The local troops usually (though obviously their are exceptions) are run by decent God fearing women... the leadership in NYC are whackadoo leftists and have been for decades...
Just give the girl a dollar, that is about all the local troop will get from the box of cookies anyway... and as I stated elsewhere, most of the local troops are run by good fine women, the national organization however, was lost to left wing nutters a long time ago.
If you need a fix, the following cookies are available at our supermarket, for a lot cheaper, and are pretty close equivalents:
Thin Mint = Keebler Grasshoppers
Somoas = Keebler Coconut Dreams
Do-Si-Dos = Any Peanut Butter sandwich cookie from (nutter butter, to generic)
Tag A longs = Keebler Fudge Shoppe Peanut Butter filled... or Generic (Walmart fudge covered peanut butter cookies)
Sure there are other generics as well, but keebler brand is pretty much universally available.
Thye aren’t PERFECT replacements, particularly the coconut dreams, the cookie itself is slightly different, but it will take care of any cravings and is cheaper and available all year.
Hint: Princess Liawatha is one of my Senators and my Congresscritter just proudly announced that she's introduced a bill to lower the national voting age to 16.
So the chances of our local Scout leaders being whackadoo leftists are pretty close to 100%.
They’ve been a lesbian/feminist organization for years (perhaps decades)
The Lesbian Scouts...I am never going to buy Lesbian Scouts cookies again. I told my friend that I’m not buying cookies this year. He was surprised when I told him that his daughter is in a liberal group. He is a businessman, but didn’t think they were indoctrinating girls, but I’m showing him this.
