He died with his boots on.
Well, it is not like he was going to go anywhere.

The subtle tone of the article is disappointment since the authorities were supposed to freak out and shut down a major transportation artery, making for a juicy story, instead of calmly handling it so the death scene can be processed by a detective and coroner.
Imagine what they would have done to you if you had done the same thing...but since they’re special...never mind.
I work on Third Avenue, just a few blocks from Grand Central. Every morning on my way to the office, I see a homeless man sleeping on the sidewalk at the corner of 44th and Lexington. This has been going on for the past year. Not every day but definitely on most days - even on extremely cold mornings. People (including myself) just walk around him. The cops do nothing. I suppose I can’t blame the cops because I’m sure they have their hands tied. But one of these days, it’s going to be a corpse that I walk around.
The time it takes to identify him and then give him a citation for loitering is substantial.
Sometimes it’s hard to tell the walking dead from the dead dead.
Hey, why give up a rare seat on the NY sewer express?
Did they post a cop at the site? If they did what’s the bIG deal? I’ve seen exactly that before.
It’s a helluva town.
Bet he will still be voting democratic for years to come.
First lol!
Whatever happened to the sanctity of life that we all supposedly subscribe to?
This homeless person had a family at one time and may even have been a military veteran.
And yet you joke about his death...........
I hate when people leave me sitting dead in a subway platform. The least they could do is put me on a train or take me up stairs and sit me on a park bench.
I wouldn’t shut down the subway for this.
If you had found a bullet ridden body with casings scattered all around the place, maybe.
Sounds like he died on the bench so they closed the bench. Good enough.
I’m not sure why folks seem to think you should shut down the subway for this. Must be some serious wimps out there. Probably also why states do things like attempt to order people off the roads when it snows to make it easier for the plows.
