Timothy Ray Brown (L), also known as The Berlin Patient, considered the first person to be cured of HIV.
A lot of good that did him.
They gave him new cells but he still has the same face.
How million $’s did this so called cure cost?
A better way to stop the disease is for these men to stop using their apparatus in a way that was never intended.
Two “cures” in a decade? Um, no. Not believing it. Something stinks. As they say, follow the money.
Few caveats...mutation of hiv can bypass hiv blocking by selzentry...there are alternative ways to get hiv into cells beside ccr5 receptor..loss of ccr5 may lead to primary sclerosing cholangitis...if everyone keeps passing the highly mutatable hiv around(like they do) we will maybe get more of the virus that uses ccr4 to get into cells....back to square one. Still an advance but it may not be the end of the scourge yet.
