SETH RICH - RETRACTION Published: 04 March 2019
On March 5, 2018, Infowars published an article by Dr. Jerome Corsi titled Anti-Trump Left Tries to Revive Dying ‘Russia’ Narrative by Blaming Roger Stone. In that article, Dr. Corsi alleged that Seth Rich and his brother, Aaron Rich, were involved in downloading and leaking emails from the DNC to WikiLeaks.
Dr. Corsi acknowledges that his allegations were not based upon any independent factual knowledge regarding Seth or Aaron Rich. Instead, Dr. Corsi relied primarily on, and quoted from, a column by Adm. James Lyons (Ret.) that was published in the Washington Times on March 2, 2018, but was retracted on September 30, 2018. It was not Dr. Corsi’s intent to rely upon inaccurate information, or to cause any suffering to Mr. Rich’s family. To that end, Dr. Corsi retracts the article and apologizes to the Rich family.
Admiral Lyons has not retracted his story. He died December 12, 2018.

Assange basically did say so. However, he did it in a interview in Europe that wasn’t done in English. He described Seth Rich. People turned the translation to, maybe Seth Rich, and then the liberal media said no evidence it was Seth Rich. Powerful people don’t want the truth, and neither does the family.

It was alwys stupid to presume that file timestamps “prove” that the files were copied to a thumb drive and not downloaded across the internet. First, because files that are stolen are usually zipped before downloading which preserves the timestamps of the local copying. Second because the speeds people say are impossible are easily doable.

I think he would only do that when it's a general source not a specific individual. To begin denying that person x or person y was a source would be participating in someone's fishing expedition. Something I don't think Assange would engage in.
