BACKCHANNEL:
This is a cable sent by a post communicator utilizing a disk inserted into the TERP system (Now SMART). Backchannels are utilized directly between mission heads off the record or used to transmit Agency coms on State Systems with no trace, except at recipient destination.
FLASH are also transmitted in the same manner as BACKCHANNEL.
Again, BACKCHANNEL are technically not transmitted via the system, but are prepared and hand carried to the communicator. It is not in the system but inserted behind the network assets.
Former Dept of State communicator.
Thanks for that info.
