Socialism’s millennial fans don’t even know what it is
Anyone who isn’t a socialist at 20 has no heart, but anyone who isn’t a conservative by 40 has no brain: That old epigram is certainly playing out in today’s Democratic Party.
Millennials — ignorant of socialism’s appalling economic and human-rights history — increasingly embrace socialism and its naively unrealistic prescriptions for ending all human want.
Yet so are a growing number of veteran Democratic pols who should know better, but are clearly terrified by the growing star power of the likes of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And never mind House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s warning that “this is not a bumper-sticker war.”
Gallup reports that 57 percent of Democrats have a positive view of socialism. But do they even have any idea what they’re talking about? The same poll shows respondents supporting small business and free enterprise and rejecting the idea that government is doing too little.

Let’s not fool ourselves. They know enough about what it is — living the good life off of someone else’s dime. Gimme gimme gimme and make “the rich” pay for it. The millennials just believe in a free ride more than prior generations, but a good chunk of the prior generations believe in it too. Its the cancer of the Welfare State that has been rotting the American Work Ethic for 80 years. The Dems and the media have done an excellent job on selling a large chunk of the population on the sham that they can have whatever they want and the “rich” can pay for it all.
But we know what they are.
And they don’t CARE what it is.
They have NO cause, no reason for being and so they are looking for one desperately, no religion or faith so they need faith in SOMETHING...no matter how insane and dangerous, they have no moral compass, too much time on their hand and too many spoiling yet inattentive parents who ruined them.
And last but not least, a college system that might just as well be called “Institutes of Traitor Making” as “Institutes of higher learning”
That’s socialism for the LESS than 1 percent.
They DONT know what it is.

The funny thing is if she was making $560/night in tips, that works out to $140k/year (5 days, 50 weeks), which put her damned close to the upper 10% at least.
Still, she couldn’t manage to save a few thousand for to put down a deposit on a place in DC?

I spend a lot of time talking to Millenials.
They know all too well about Europe’s generous social welfare benefits. They don’t see any reason why The Greatest Country on Earth should not be giving them these.
I suspect that within about a decade we will.
No, these brain-washed/brain-dead millenials have not a single clue what Socialism is. Socialism is Communism without people being put up against a wall and shot...and, yet, it far more often deteriorates to just that.
One of my great grandfathers was murdered by Stalin’s NKVD in 1937, more than a dozen years after they just plain STOLE everything that he owned except the home he lived in. But he still lived and opposed their concepts of how to act and what to believe, so they beat a 74-year-old man suffering from cancer to death. THAT is Socialism, courtesy of the Union of Soviet ***SOCIALIST*** Republics.
I’ve studied Socialists and Communists for more than the last 40 years, and I oppose every single thing that they purport to stand for (purport, because it is ALL lies - the leaders of every single stripe of Socialism from the “soft” Socialism of Canada and Western Europe to the “hard core” Communism of Cambodia or the Chinese Red Guards during the “Cultural Revolution” are interested ONLY in power, at any price (to others, not themselves, of course). Knowing them as I do, I am aware that they could win here and enslave or murder me and/or members of my family, but unlike in Russia, as far as my family is concerned it most definitely will NOT be for free.
