SF has been a heart-breaker for several decades.
The time I was there from 1994-2016 was fun as my wife and I were starting a family. Have been gone 3 years - on a recent visit wondered how in the world I could have ever enjoyed that place.
Ok, 22 years should have gotten you off to a good start. It does sound as though you may have spent a bit longer than usual in the honeymoon phase, but that was probably helpful. {;^]
