Remember the slant eyed cars?<

Lol! My oldest brother had one. Chrysler something.

Customizers would sometimes use the lights in their wild creations.

There was a comedy back in the 60’s where they showed the commercial of a person flying in from above on wires to the driver seat except he kept hitting the car and landing wrong.

Forget the '58. The '85 is the sexiest care ever conceived by man.

It's not bad at all, especially when compared to most of the crap designs that came out in later decades.

MAD Magazine used to refer to cars from this period as:

“Byzantine Gargantuans”

I love them.

“The ‘59 Chevy is one of the ugliest cars ever made. I prefer the ‘58.”

Agree 100%

Ugly example of a ‘59 Chevy. UGH! Red? White? Black top?

Wire wheels (or covers), it’s NOT a Cadillac!

I referred to that in my original post. They should NOT have used an C Body for a reprentative crash. The results WOULD have been different with a 1959 Imperial with a normal ladder frame, or any other car with a regular full frame.

It also is impasibke to do a truly accurate test on 50 year old metal that may be at least partially rusted or fatigued. No way to make a ‘new” 1959 to do a 100% acurate test.

The other video I posted talks about stuff like that. He shows things like missed spot welds (during actual assembly of the car) and other things like that. But yeah, a ladder frame imperial would have been different. :)

I think they were trying to do it from the perspective of “1959 chevy vs 2009 ‘equivalent’ chevy.”
