I remember when you could actually see the spark plugs!

Drooped a socket into Mrs. Mad’s engine bay on her Volvo. Didn’t even bother looking for it. Just ordered a new one.

Of the 55-57 period, the 55 was the best.

I was at a Lexus dealership when a prospect asked the salesman to open the hood so he could see the engine. The salesman gave a puzzled look, opened the hood and revealed a smooth covering that completely obscured the engine.

I still think it was funny.

As a hot rod, yes, with the 56 being a close 2nd. The 57 I always liked best as a cruiser.

Another shot of Nimoy and his Riviera...

BTW, that's Shatner's Corvette in the next parking space. Photos were taken in the Desilu Studios parking lot.

Forget the '58. The '85 is the sexiest care ever conceived by man.

Brown turns that frown upside down.

My friend’s parents had a black 59 Buick. That was the angriest looking car ever!

I miss the days when cars were designed for for Style, Comfort and Performance. Now thanks to the Rats the first consideration is, is it in compliance with Government regulations? My wife worked in one of the big GM buildings for awhile and they had an entire floor devoted to people working on CAFE compliance. All because of the climate BS.
