Have you noticed that panhandlers are hanging around the exits of Walmart and Kroger these days?
I try not to even look at them.
Only on rare occasions do I hand out money.
You have to tell them you never carry cash. Im just waiting for the day they pull out a smartphone with a credit card device attached.

I’ve lived in two cities mid-way between Dallas and Ft. Worth for 50 years and have NEVER seen panhandlers here. The citizens, businesses and police are not tolerant of such.
I do remember some in downtown Dallas back in the 1960s and can imagine it’s much worse now. Dallas is a liberal Dem blue hole in TX, like Houston, San Antonio and Austin.
The panhandler down by the local Aldi seems pleasant enough. I’ve seen enough scary panhandlers in downtown Dallas that my guard is usually up, and you never know when the crazy or drugs will kick in with one, however.
