Rapper Young Dolph's car was broken into while he ate at a metro Atlanta Cracker Barrel last week, and thieves made off with roughly $500,000 of jewelry and other belongings.
The Memphis artist, born Adolph Thornton, told police the thieves smashed the window of his custom camouflage Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV in the restaurant's parking lot on Wednesday. They made off with a Richard Mille watch worth $230,000, a Patek Phillipe watch costing approximately $85,000 and two diamond chains worth a respective $57,000 and $27,000.
Police told WSB-TV that the case was "unusual in a number of ways," because surveillance footage shows the thieves approaching Thornton's car three separate times. The first time, police say it's possible that they entered the car without vandalizing it. The third time, they smashed the window and made off with the pricey items, escaping in a silver car.

After that event I took care to limit my jewelry storage in my car to under $200,000. You have to be careful these days particularly if you tend to use valet parking a lot.

News broke earlier today (Sept. 26) that Memphis rapper Young Dolph was shot in Los Angeles.
The Bulletproof MC was shot outside The Shoe Palace at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland at approximately 1 p.m. PDT. TMZ reported Dolph was rushed to an area hospital after being struck and suffered multiple gunshot wounds that appear to be non-life threatening.
While this story is still developing, fellow rappers and members of the hip-hop world have already started sending out prayers and well wishes to Dolph. Rappers like Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz and Kid Ink and producers like London On Da Track and Cardo are tweeting out their thoughts and prayers for the Memphis-bred artist.
This isn’t the first time Dolph has had a brush with death this year. Back in February, Dolph was in a SUV that was shot at over 100 times but the rapper came out of the ordeal unscathed.
Proving his resilience, Dolph promptly named his April 2017 project Bulletproof.
Dolph has been openly involved in a highly-publicized beef with Yo Gotti for some time, and back in May, Gotti’s artist Blac Youngsta turned himself into authorities in connection with the shooting after a warrant was issued for his arrest. ...”
