The mother of a girl who suffered serious injuries when she was bit in the face last year by a pit bull at a Portland airport has filed a lawsuit claiming the dog's owner did not have it properly contained.
Mirna Gonzalez, of Pasco, Washington, said in her suit filed Monday that she and her family were at Portland International Airport on Dec. 18, 2017, when her daughter, Gabriella, who was 5 years old at the time, was attacked by a dog.
Gonzalez said the dog's owner, Michelle Brannan, said the pit bull was an emotional support animal but faulted her for not having the dog in crate or kennel...
What’s next? Emotional support cobras?
next someone will wanna bbring their ‘emotional support africianized killer bee hive’ onboard
Another 5-year-old was attacked in the Portland airport by an emotional support pit bull?
Was it the same pit bull?
emotional support pit bull? whahahaha
Hope the plaintiff wins every dime three times over.
the child may be scarred for life.
Emotional support pit bull my @$$.
Another version of this said the mother of the little girl went to get coffee and left the little girl with her 13 year old sister, and they went over and ask for permission to pet the PIT BULL.
a/ how do you leave your children alone if they don’t have the sense to not want to pet a STRANGE PIT BULL.
b/ how does this loser with a pit bull “ESD” LET STRANGE CHILDREN come up and pet your dog?
c/ put the mother and the dog owner in a cage together.
Ive got an emotional support fire ant mound I carry around.
what moron ever thought a pit bull could be any type of service animal.
Emotional support animal, mmm . . . Must be trying to channel their emotions for killing people indiscriminately.
Emotiomal support animals should be banned from flights. Weve grown far too weak if we cant go a couple of hours without an emotional crutch.
I’m so surprised......
Emotional support rabid skunk.
Leave it to these millennial snowflakes to bring untrained vicious animals around with them claiming they need emotional support. These kind of dogs are not trained like REAL service dogs, and they have attacked other dogs that are there for people with real disabilities like blindness or a physical disabili. They’ve attacked people too...on buses,in stores, and in airports. . So basically they’ve taken something that is for somebody with a severe disability like blindness or handicap and made it into some sort of snowflake “right” to have your motional support animal... it’s disgusting. It should be service animals only that’s it. If you can’t fly,or eat at a restaurant without your dog because it’s too emotionally traumatic then take your dog In your own car and drive to your destination or eat at home.
Pit bull owners says it not the breed,it’s the owners.
There is a hugely disproportionate number of really bad people that are attracted to pit bulls.
Another case of mistreated pit bull, ( “it’s not the breed, it’s how it was raised” ) not pit bulls fault, pit bull needs PTSD counseling
I did read this article which has been posted upon the nationalpitbullvictimawareness website.
I am very pleased that the little girl attacked by the pit bull in the Portland airport did not completely lose her eye, or her life.
Unfortunately, at the same time, I was reading about the 8 - now 9, as of Wednesday - persons mauled to death by dogs in the United States during the first eight weeks of 2019, of which at least half of the attacking dogs were pit bulls, and most of the victims were either very young or very old.
Since the death rate by dog mauling is increasing so much and so quickly, it is encouraging that the mauling victims are beginning to push back.
It is well that the issue is being publicized. It is to be hoped that all airports and airlines will now take note.
What’s with this “emotional support” animal thing?
Get yourself a stuffed Teddy Bear.
How old are you?????
Several airlines do not permit pit bulls or a couple of other breeds (mastiffs, for one, IIRC) to be considered emotional support animals. Theyre too unpredictable and have a bad track record, and for that reason are almost never even trained as true service animals for genuinely disabled people.
Yes.
Delta being one, since the mauling of a passenger by another passenger’s loose pit bull in the cabin last year.
If someone truly wants an emotional support animal, they need to get a Golden Retriever, or at the worst, a Lab.
Aside from the fact that they are beautiful, Goldens are the most people loving dog by far.
