It was a chilly winter night in Greenville, South Carolina and Emerson and Maya were on Girl Scout duty selling cookies outside a store.
At one point, a man approached the stand and bought seven boxes of cookies worth $40, and told them to keep the change, according to cookie manager Kayla Dillard.
Then, he went back to the table and said: “Pack up all of your cookies. I’m taking them all so y’all can get out of this cold,” Dillard said in a Facebook post. He spent $540 on cookies, she said.

My DD remembers selling cookies in the snow
We had to man that booth and get them sold, we only get about 8 weekends and troops all divide and share booth times

Tough situations do more than create memories, they build character that you sucked it up and did what needed to be done

34 degrees. Half the kids in the country used to play outside all day at that temp. In a lot of northern places, kids skating or playing hockey still do.
No...I said it to the adult....but letting the children remain ignorant...is a travesty. These aren’t 2 year olds.

Hopefully this taught the girls a life lesson to help someone in the future.the whole community will benefit once word of mouth of this good deed is spread.try to encourage the positive point of his generosity.

Totally agree...very bad lesson to teach the girls. Having them brave the cold, suffer a bit and persevere for a (what was once) a good cause is the best lesson of all. He taught the girls that Sugar Daddy will come along and save you. Not the way to raise hardy stock.

But in actuality, local troops are run by local volunteers and supported with camps and programs by Councils
Local GS have about as much to do with WAGGGS as your town govt has to do with the United Nations
to which you belong by virtue of US membership in the UN
I don’t have a choice with my taxes.
I do with buying Girl Scout cookies and so do you by supporting them regardless.

GS is not for you but it is sure for me and the girls I help
The typical girl scout uniform of short sleeved shirt and skirt without the non approved jacket should have been the proper attire. That would have taught them how to be really strong!
