Remember eating Lucky Charms and watching Saturday morning cartoons? Well, now a Virginia brewery is trying to recreate that magic for you in beer form. Smartmouth Brewing in Norfolk has come out with a beer called Saturday Morning that's brewed with in-house toasted marshmallows and bulk dehydrated marshmallow bits. The brewery says the beer has a "slight cereal taste" and is "magically ridiculous."
It's on a very limited release and will make its way to a handful of restaurants, bars and specialty bottle shops in Virginia. To celebrate the release, Smartmouth Brewing will host a Saturday Morning All Day event at its Norfolk tasting room.

Now I guess we Virginians can say “Virginia is for MARSHMALLOW Lovers” instead, right?
(I just don’t see how this could be tasty.)
No longer do I need to pour beer in my cereal. Wait. Maybe I can use marshmallow beer in my cereal.
Just as bad as pizza with pineapple slices and ham. Just my opinion.
Nah, has to be worse than that. At least the pineapple and ham are OK together. Beer and marshmallows? Not so sure.
Diabetes in the making!
I've been known to take pizza from a quality pizzeria and scrape the toppings off the crust onto a plate - discarding the crust entirely. Yes, I get some strange looks. But so gooey and good.
Further proof of my theory that the whole yuppie hoppy beer thing is a fad. In 20 years there will still be classic beers and the yuppie beers will be a thing of the past!
C’mon guys. Sugar and grains are the ingredients of beer.
I’d like to try it!
DR. EVIL: Thank you, Random Task. Patty O'Brien...(PATTY O'BRIEN, a small, wiry Irishman with fiery eyes.)...ex-Irish assassin. His trademark? Around PATTY O'BRIENS WRIST is a charm bracelet. A superstitious man, he leaves a tiny keepsake on every victim he kills. Scotland Yard would love to get their hands on that piece of evidence.
PATTY O'BRIEN: (heavy Irish accent) Yes, they're always after me lucky charms! (Everyone in the room tries to keep a straight face) What? What? Why does everyone alwayslaugh when I say that? "They are after me lucky charms". (They cannot contain their LAUGHTER)
PATTY O'BRIEN: (angry) What?
FRAU FARBISSINA: (through suppressed laughter) It's a television commercial with this little cartoon Leprechaun who is a benevolent imp who is very concerned that these children will steal his lucky charms which are foodstuffs fashioned into various shapes; hearts, moons, clovers, what have you...(pause) It's a long story.
“Gateway Beer” complaints in 3,2...
Shiner Beer in Texas has a S’Mores Marshmallow Beer.
Beat me to it! My husband is an IPA man so Wicked is his Shiner go to beer. Almost everyone who likes beer likes Shiner Boch. I cannot put the S’Mores in the grocery cart so need to go to the brewery for a sample, haa! Cheers!
I don’t know... These things tend to forget about the traditionalists and render the classics obsolete. How common is horehound candy or black licorice anymore? They are almost obsolete now when they were once the most common.
But what bothers me about the whole situation is if you don’t like the flavor of Beer or Wine unadulterated then don’t drink it. These wimps are going to mess it up for those of us who do appreciate these flavors as is and as it should be.
How common is horehound candy
Loved that when I was a kid. Darned near impossible to find these days.
L
Me too... Spice drops are another classic. We just don’t do “Savory” flavors anymore because of fad trends that force “too sweet” on everyone and they are going obsolete. Bet you prefer everything with a “bite” like I do. I prefer extra extra sharp cheese, sour wine, bitter beer, coffee black, Etc. lol
YUCK!
You and I have similar tastes. I even like Apple Cider Vinegar diluted with water 50/50. Coffee BLACK, and I love raw garlic and super hot peppers.
