I think that was fake news. He is behind some bill that would curtail a president emergency declaration, but he has made clear that this particular declaration is indeed an emergency. The democrats have been threatening that when a democrat is is power they will declare guns, fossil fuels, etc., an emergency. All ridiculous.

Can’t the Republican party - who claim to be 92% behind the president - do something about this group who just about always votes against him? Murkowski, Collins, Flomney, etc. Why would the party even want them?

Some other senator had stated that he would have preferred the President take the money from some other sources that would have been legal and easier. I would have preferred that too.
But we don’t know all the facts, so I’ll just assume the President had the best advice and made the best decision.

It’s an issue that even our local democrats feel strongly about. I’ve mentioned before about so many wanting Trump yard signs and they all mentioned the wall as the reason for their support of him. So now he owns the issue completely. No help from the R party.
That may be enough of a reason. T it up for his reelection.
