Heh. Maybe it’s just me, but I come here primarily to catch up on the news and read comments about articles. People using FR as their blog need to avail themselves occasionally of an unexpressed thought.
But is it not a community? a Tribe? a Clan? If not how can we ever think we can prevail over those who do tribe up on the other side of the river?
As do we all, but why restrict the richness of content here by condemning and pushing back against self generated content?
Take Freeper Bray, for instance. He writes a weekly column that he posts here. It's primarily his synopsis and analysis of the prior week's events, and it's good. A lot of people look forward to it every Saturday.
We've also got PJ-Media, the Trump Train gang, Kartographer, and several others who regularly post self generated content, much of it informative and/or entertaining. Should we insist that those folks withdraw their contributions to the site? I should hope not.
Lastly, there's the power of choice. No one's compelling us to read content we're not interested in.
