“MEN’S” AND “WOMEN’S” categories still occupy the navigation menu on the website for 10-year-old retailer Totokaelo. Yet shoppers have increasingly crossed these virtual gender lines, said Fanny Damiette, vice president of brand and marketing for its parent company, Richmond, Va.-based NSTO. “We have data that shows that sometimes the girls will go in the men’s section and the men will go in the women’s section.” The shop leans into this fluidity, hiring transgender and nonbinary models and putting menswear in the women’s section.

Women have openly worn “men’s clothes”, especially in northern environments, for — well, probably forever. Much more practical if you are engaged in physical labor or in the cold.

What’s new of course is men dressing in “women’s clothes”, which not in the least done for practicality or comfort. That is why it was done on the sly for, well, ages. The news is it being out in the open as those looking to change our culture and the world are looking to erase recognition of basic biology.

I remember reading an issue of an old magazine called Science Digest back in the 80s that was predicting the future and one of the predictions was men and women becoming super angrogynous, just about the same. And not in some idealised manner, they had an artists conception of two people in shorts and wife beater t-shirts and sandals both standing about the same height, and looking virtually identical. The "man" had soft feminine features, the "woman" was only distinguishable as a woman because of small breasts though the male had sort of man boobs too. I laughed. Absurd!

They got it wrong though. They made the man a wimp and the woman more manly. What's happening is the men are getting overtly feminine. And not just in fashions. I cringe every time I see a man on a sports forum write comments like "OMG! I know, right?"

yet another reason for the plunging marriage rate and plunging fertility rate for U.S. born citizens.

it’s a fundamental denial of human gender behavior ... survey after survey show that women desire “manly” men, and we men don’t need surveys to tell us we are attracted to women who display their femininity ...

Our hope is that it’s a trend, or that a small number of people are being paraded by the media as though it’s the new America.

But, with birth control, women needing and wanting to be in the workforce, and few jobs that can’t be done by either sex (because machinery does the heavy work), we can see why both sexes sort of have the same role in our society.

Normal women's clothing includes pants without there being any shred of crossdressing perversion going on. But then there are the types who pervert that to a uniform of flannel shirts, men's jeans, and comfortable shoes, because they have a specific message to broadcast.

These gender-deviant clowns who signal through their apparel... choose poorly.

Imagine if some folks came up with a TV series that truly informed about "What Not to Wear"? Bad things would happen to them.

Work clothes and eye candy clothes are two different things. Women also have curves where men don't, and that makes for a tailoring difference when wearing summerweight fabrics and dress clothes. Under two or three layers of flannel and sweaters, it doesn't make much difference. What continues to puzzle me is that so many very attractive young women don't seem to realize how cute they are in flannel and sweater garb, or in flowing clothes of any kind. This idea that their clothes should look to have been spray painted on is an astonishing fashion fraud. I've always attributed it, not entirely tongue in cheek, to the idea that the fashion industry is dominated by homosexuals and fag hags who secretly hate women. You'd think girls would have caught on by now.

The tight-skin style is very Latin, as opposed to, say, the boxier anglo approach. Generally women from the more northern, boxier-style cultures have more equal rights and status than in the more equatorial, Latin world.

Put the two together in the US and you tend to get a real class differential, though even upper-class girls have grown to see the hussy style, if you will, as some xth generation feminism.

Yep. The article focuses on one "woke", trendy store. I live in a college town, and the overwhelming majority of the students are NOT following this trend - guys are still wearing guy's clothes, and gals are still wearing women's clothes.
