Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., entered the 2020 presidential race this week promising to transform America with a left-wing vision of economic and environmental justice. But the self-described democratic socialist’s high-end income, multiple houses and fondness for air travel have already opened him up to criticism that his lifestyle doesn't always match the rhetoric.
"Our campaign is about transforming our country and creating a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice," he said.
"Together you and I and our 2016 campaign began the political revoution," he said. "Now it is time to complete that revolution and implement the vision that we fought for."
But Sanders has raised eyebrows over his spending and personal wealth. Notably, he owns three houses. In 2016, he bought a $575,000 four-bedroom lake-front home in his home state. This is in addition to a row house in Washington D.C., as well as a house in Burlington, Vermont.
“The Bern will keep his home in Burlington and use the new camp seasonally,” Vermont’s Seven Day’s reported in 2016.

We know this....but what frustrates me is that he gets away with it. Why this isn’t brought up by Conservatives constantly is beyond me. Make it a joke. Don’t let up. How about asking him to set an example and give this property to illegals or the poor. Confront these people on their hypocrisy. Don’t let them get away with it.

So no, Bernie is NOT a fake socialist - he's the norm. Socialism concentrates power in the hands of greedy thugs... types willing to play on the weaknesses of others. They know it doesn't work - they know the gullible will fall for it.... Which is why they're ‘socialist’ in the first place - easy horse to ride to power.
Bernie is going to find he has a problem. If you watch the Democrats, everybody is trying to out-Bernie Bernie. Once it gets into full swing, he’s going to find people are starting to ask themselves, why do I want to put up with this grumpy 79 year old fart when I have my choice of a half dozen others half his age, promising all the same things? The only difference is they are not anywhere near as annoying to listen to.
And of course, if we’re lucky, the story will also get out that they all have mansions with walls around them, multimillionaire paychecks, travel in limos and private jets...
Notice the top picture here, his DC house has a tall iron fence around it. And he bashes Trump about a border wall. Ditto for Robert Frances “Beto” O’Rourke, Pocahontas, Hillary, Nancy Pelosi, Obama...I’m willing to bet almost all of the Democrats trying to run for Prez and bitching about Trump’s wall live behind them. I plan to try and research them a bit better but right now I’m kind of limited, already passed my data rate and everything is pretty slooooow except text...(using a remote wifi access box, prepaid)
Bernie is just another fraud, never had a job in his life, career politician for 40 years...has no idea what it’s like to be the average person he pretends to identify with, he’s lived the lifestyle of the rich and well connected for 40 years, same as all the rest.

Sorry not fake. Socialism like Communism allows the elites (ie the government rulers) to live in luxury while the proletariat struggles to exist.
What the masses don't understand about socialism is it is only meant for them....not their "exalted" rulers.
I first met Bernie when he was a filthy bum, a couple of years after his ‘commune’ invited him to leave for not wanting to work. He’s still a bum, and has parlayed his class warfare mantra into quite the estate.
