Montana should be sold to Canada to help pay off some of the U.S.'s national debt, according to a petition on Change.org.
Ian Hammond, the petition creator, wants to sell The Treasure State to the nation's neighbor to the north for $1 trillion.
“We have too much debt and Montana is useless. Just tell them it has beavers or something,” the petition description read.
More than 7,000 people have already signed the petition as of Tuesday. The petition was looking to garner at least 7,500 online signatures.

How about selling California to China? That’ll sink China pretty quickly, and get those EV’s out of the hands of the Leftists.
California has natural beauty that I don’t want to give up. Maybe we can lease it to them for 250 years which would give them certain rights in the state and we also anull CA’s electoral votes for that period.

We could trade Montana for Alberta. Not that I have anything against Montana. But from time to time there’s been speculation that Alberta would want to cross over.
Our national debt is approx $22 trillion so selling Montana wouldn’t accomplish much.
The thought occurred to me as well, that Canada might not be able to cover the check if the deal were consummated.
Maybe they could put up the mortgages on all the igloos to cover the shortfall.
Send the wackos inland problem solved. BC is beautiful and also has lots of resources. Alberta is ugly and cold -

at least Canada might pay a few cents for Montana.
