I can’t dispute the cold. Calgary in February was the coldest I have ever been in my life. Great people, though.

I was born there but now live on the coast. I travel back there at least 3 times a year to visit family and friends. While there, I miss the big trees and the sea. While here, I miss the uncompromising landscape and the sky that goes on forever.
Simple manners and common courtesy seem to state that if you have nothing pleasant to say, one should remain quiet.
An extension of that same adage goes to the extent of warning that:
“It is better to be silent and thought a fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.”
