German Health Minister Jens Spahn said Friday he will seek to ban conversion therapies that claim to change sexual orientation.
“Homosexuality is not an illness, which is why it does not need to be treated,” Spahn, who is gay himself, told the Berlin daily left-leaning daily Die Tageszeitung.
He hoped that a German law banning such therapies could be adopted by the middle of the year. […]

Mutilating children in sex conversion therapies is still AOK though.

Part of the problem is an erroneous concept of “conversion”. If you go from “obsessively fornicating with the same sex” to “obsessively fornicating with the other sex,” you’re still a nut with serious problems.
Real “conversion” is conversion to chastity: the right use of the sexual faculties in accordance with one’s state in life.
What about the vaunted “Bi-sexual” they use to talk so much about? What is the “Bi” wants to choose one over the other?
Homosexuals who know they’re sick will need to enter the closet to get help.
Using that same kind of logic...
Homosexuality cannot be treated by attempting to change one’s appearance via surgery. If it’s not an illness to be homosexual or gay, then, there can’t be a treatment that fixes the ‘illness’. You are what you are born as, and no treatment will change that.
